This policy explains how Live in the Happy Bubble Charitable Foundation (“we”, “us”) handles information when you visit happybubble.org and sign up for updates.
What we collect
If you sign up for updates, we collect your email address. That is the only personal information the form asks for.
If you accept cookies, Google Analytics collects information about your visit, described below.
Like any website, our hosting provider receives technical information when you visit, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the page and protect it from abuse. We do not use this to identify you.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site, only if you accept cookies in the banner. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies and records things like the pages you view, how you arrived, the type of device and browser you use, and your approximate location (city or country). Google Analytics does not store your IP address. We have turned off Google’s advertising features, so this information is not used for advertising or to build an advertising profile of you.
If you reject cookies or close the banner, Google Analytics does not load and no cookies are set. We remember your choice in your browser, not in a cookie, so we don’t ask again. You can change it at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page; rejecting removes the Google Analytics cookies. The site uses no other cookies and no advertising trackers.
How we use it
We use your email address only to send you news about The Happy Bubble book by Bruce Etkin and the foundation’s launch and work. We use analytics only to see how people find the site and to improve it. We do not sell, rent or trade your information.
Who handles it for us
Our mailing list is kept by Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.), which stores your email address and sends our emails on our behalf. Mailchimp may record whether our emails are opened and which links are clicked, which helps us understand what readers find useful. Google Analytics is provided by Google LLC. The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. All three companies are based in the United States and process information under their own privacy and security commitments.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Your choices and rights
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. You can also ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it or delete it by writing to privacy@happybubble.org. Depending on where you live, including California and the European Union, you may have further rights under local law, and we will honor them.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with its effective date.
